Mr. Magrogan has served as a software engineer, Chief Technology Officer, consultant, methodologist, Project Manager and Program Manager. He has written articles and papers on object-oriented analysis & design, enterprise architecture, and Agile methods for the Enterprise.
He developed and implemented the Agile practices which have resulted in a 50% reduction in support costs and a 50% improvement in development cycle time while improving overall product quality at the Portfolio Level. Mr. Magrogan wrote and teaches a PMP Exam Preparation course.
His current interest is in applying agile and Lean techniques to Program and Portfolio Management. This lead to the development of the "PMO as a Franchise" model, the “Action Cycle Maps” the Customer Commitment Check Up Kit” and other novel tools and techniques to improve the effectiveness of the PMO.
He holds a BS in Business Administration from the Metropolitan University of Minnesota with a major in Decision Science, 1985.
