Dr. Vittal Anantatmula has been with the College of Business of Western Carolina University (WCU) since 2005. He was the program director of MPM for ten years before stepping down in 2018. His recognitions at WCU include University Scholar and Excellence in Research Award, and Graduate Teaching Awards. He is a global guest professor at Keio University, Japan and has been teaching project management courses at Keio University since 2014. He was also chosen as a director of the Project Management Institute Global Accreditation Center Board in 2016 for a six-year period.
Dr. Anantatmula taught at George Washington University before joining WCU and served in petroleum industry positions before joining academics. On invitation from the Government of Australia, he spent a semester in Melbourne as Endeavor Executive Fellow and worked with the School of Property, Construction, and Project Management, RMIT University in 2018.
Dr. Anantatmula has authored 40 scholarly journal articles, 8 books, 9 book chapters and 30 conference presentations. He received his MS and PhD degrees from The George Washington University and Electrical Engineering degree from Andhra University, India.
