    What is PMDoS?

    PMDoS™ is a community outreach event enabling pro bono Project Management services for nonprofits and social change organizations. It is a one day problem-solving event where charitable nonprofits are matched with project managers. Together, participants scope and plan a project to help address the issue.

    Why and How to Volunteer:

    Three reasons why you should volunteer now:

    • Use your professional expertise to help those who help others in our community
    • Advance your career by expanding your network and strengthening your skills

    The PMI Baltimore Chapter's 2016 Professional Development Event (PDE) is scheduled for April 29-30, 2016 at the Maritime Institute in Linthicum Heights, Maryland.

    The Project Management Institute (PMI) Baltimore, a chapter of PMI with over 3,000 members, will hold a professional development event to provide networking and training to our members.     On January 19, 2015, Martin Luther King Day (a national day of service), 5 DC Metro Area PMI chapters are partnering with the Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit organization that makes business talent available to organizations working to improve society, to provide Project Management Subject Matter Experts to nearly 200 charity and nonprofit organizations.

    This single day Scope-A-Thon will involve up to 600 project managers who will provide up to 6 hours of volunteer effort and receive up to 6 PDUs.
