Login Help for New Members

Welcome to PMIWDC!

This page addresses many of the common questions that new chapter members have when they first visit PMIWDC. If your question is not addressed, please feel free to contact us or call our office at 703.683.4804 for live support.

If you have joined within the past month, or if you have rejoined after having left the chapter before, please see the special instructions at the end of this page.

Your Member Number

Your PMIWDC member number is the same as the PMI member number you received when you joined. It is a 6- or 7-digit number, depending on whether or not you have joined recently.

Note that if you have a project management certification (such as PMP, CAPM, or PgMP) you will also have a certification number. Your certification number is different from your member number, and you can't use your certification number to log in.

Where to find your member number:

Your member number will be in serveral of the communications you receive from PMI when you joined. Check the email confirmation you received when you first signed up, or on the membership card that was mailed to you shortly afterward.

If you do not have access to these materials, you can get your member number through our automated password reset form. Enter the email address you used when you joined, and your member number will be emailed to you along with your password.

Your Password

When you first join PMIWDC, you will receive an automated email within a couple of days that will direct you to generate your initial password. If you did not receive the intial email, please contact us and we will help you get logged in.

You can reset your password at any time through our automated password reset form.

PMIWDC passwords are case-sensitive.

Very Recent New Members

The PMIWDC database is based on the PMI National database, which is submitted to PMIWDC every few weeks. Sometimes this means that new members, or lapsed members who have recently renewed, may not appear immediately in our system. 

If you have joined very recently, and none of the suggestions above work, it may be because we don't have your membership information yet. You account will automatically be created within the next week or so, or you can request immediate access.

If you want immediate access

We're happy to manually set up accounts for new members who have not yet shown up in our system. If you are new to PMIWDC and would like a login, please send a message to our webmaster or call 703.683.4804.

To help process your request more quickly, please include with your name, PMI member number, and a request for a login account. We will be happy to set up a guest account for you, that will automatically upgrade to a full member account once we can confirm your membership with the PMI National office.
