Outlined below are resources designed to assist Active-Duty, Separated, and Retired Military Veterans transition their career into a career in project management. We have included: steps to assist you in translating your military experience into civilian terminology; several podcasts to discover how your military experience is project related, and learn the initiatives the PMIWDC Chapter is performing to help veterans.

    PMIWDC Volunteer Support

    The Washington DC Chapter, Professional Alliance Team is actively seeking military PMP Certified members to help us share the word that Project Management is a viable career option for those veterans transitioning into a civil service role, government contractor supporting the DOD, or a private corporation. Please visit our Volunteer Portal to learn more.

    Looking for former Military, PMP Certified PMIWDC members to assist in the following areas:

    Outreach

    • Engage with Military bases, Transition Assistance Program, and military non-profit organizations
    • Engage with other service members and share their experiences (speakers)

    Looking for Leaders
