PMIWDC

Fairview Park Luncheons

PMIWDC hosts a free monthly brown bag lunchtime meeting in the Fairview Park Complex, in Falls Church. This event is made possible by the generous support of Noblis, a nonprofit science, technology and strategy organization. PDUs will be available for Project Management Professionals (PMPs). The Fairview Park Community luncheons are free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required. For security reasons, attendees who are not U.S. citizens or legal residents (resident card holders) must register at least 5 days in advance of the event and must provide a valid passport upon entry to the facility. The Committee Chairs for this program are Kerry-Ann White and Bill Morris who can answer questions you may have. The PMIWDC staff can put you in touch with the event Committee Chairs.

About the Program

The success of any project manager is closely tied to the strength of their executive sponsor(s). Yet, it is understood that not all leaders are seasoned in their role as sponsor. The ability to build a coalition of support, being actively engaged, managing resistance and communicating authentically are key skills that all sponsors must have for a project to be successful. Are you trying to figure out how to leverage your role to strengthen the influence of your project sponsor(s)?
