The Project Management Institute acquired the Disciplined Agile (DA) toolkit to provide its members with credible new capabilities and certifications that will make them even more valuable in the marketplace. Dominic will present how agile is different than waterfall and how DA is different than Scrum and other Agile methodologies. He will review the new PMI certifications that PMI is offering. Join if you want to improve your project performance and get in on the ground floor of DA!

About the Speaker

Dominic Lepore, PMP

Dominic Lepore, PMP, has over 20 years’ experience implementing new processes and systems to improve business operations. He is an expert in all aspects of project management, including scope, schedule and cost management techniques. After working as a management consultant for one of the Big Four consulting firms, Dominic started Terrapin Consulting in 2003 to focus on helping organizations improve IT and project performance. Dominic is also an adjunct professor for Georgetown University’s Technology Management and Systems Engineering Management master’s degree programs. Dominic is the 2019 Chief Executive Officer for PMIWDC.

He earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland and an M.S. in Information Systems from the Stevens Institute of Technology.

About the M2D2 Monthly Downtown DC Meetings

PMIWDC holds a free monthly brown bag meeting at the US Department of Agriculture. These meetings are free, and open to the public, but preregistration is required.
