About the Program

We’ve all attended meetings we thought were a waste of time, where the person who called the meeting had no clear agenda, went off track, allowed the participants to hijack the meeting, or droned on and on…and on. This session will focus on how to facilitate productive meetings. Successful meetings begin with pre-meeting planning. Topics that will be discussed include:

  • How to create a solid agenda
  • How to establish ground rules for the meeting and what some of those ground rules should be
  • Attendees’ responsibilities, and
  • How to end a meeting.

There will also be time for the session attendees to share best practices and discuss common, or not so common, obstacles we face both in the workplace and in other meeting situations. If you ever shudder when you either have to lead or attend "another meeting," this session is for you!
