About the Program

Within the perspective of project management’s best practices, three common sense premises are assumed to be shared with the audience:

  • The overall performance of an organization can be improved through improving the knowledge of its members;
  • The current level of knowledge in an organization can be known;
  • There is interest in processes and procedures directed at improving knowledge.

This presentation outlines new ways to make Knowledge Management (KM) more valuable to the enterprise and the employees. After a quick review of the classic definition with an emphasis on KM components, the concepts of the Knowledge Management Maturity Model (KMMM), Knowledge Management Index (KMI) and Domain Knowledge Index (DKI) are introduced. A special section is dedicated to a less researched factor of success through knowledge: the New Knowledge Index. The presentation addresses Roles and Interactions in Knowledge Management. What roles in KM do the members of the audience identify themselves with? An invitation to test a real life implementation of the theory presented is extended to the audience.
