About the Program

We have all had the experience of trying to collaborate with a stakeholder who just doesn’t seem to be engaged in our project. Resistance from major stakeholders like the sponsor or project team members can make project outcomes that much harder to achieve. Less frequently, we may have a stakeholder overly interested (“meddlesome”) in our project. In this session, we will explore three strategies to shift the attitude of a single stakeholder or a group of stakeholders from resistant toward full commitment (or to a level we deem ideal) to ensure the success of our project. In alignment with the tenth Knowledge Area in the PMBOK, Version 5, learning how to change your perspective and skill to fully engage the project stakeholder can only enhance your ability to coordinate results that meet project scope, within the budget and time allotted.
