About the Presentation

OMB has been issuing guidance and encouraging federal agencies to implement Shared Services Strategies, with a focus on financial systems and applications. As agencies have been analyzing, planning, and implementing cloud based solutions, agencies and contractors have realized they need to adapt their Project Management principles and techniques. This presentation will focus on the types of PMO organizations and stakeholders, dealing with Procurement Management Challenges, the role of Agile techniques and methods, and integration management challenges.

Dan Rubenstein, Director at Chevo Consulting, LLC and PMP, is a specialist in the project management associated with the modernization of Federal financial accounting systems. He has over 20 years of experience in the planning, construction, review, analysis, design, implementation, and modernization of these systems. Recently his focus has been helping agencies improve their financial operations through the use of Shared Services. His work at cabinet level agencies includes providing pre-solicitation support, development of alternative analysis, discovery phase support, as well as with the operation of financial systems in Shared Service environments. He holds BS degree in Accounting from Syracuse University and an MBA from the University of Maryland.
