About the Speaker
David Leigh is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, has 30 years of experience working in, and managing successful and unsuccessful projects, and will discuss insights and techniques he has learned for rescuing failing projects.
David has worked for McDonnell Douglas as Project Manager for manufacturing modernization and automation projects. In 1990 he was selected as the Information Technology Group Leader for the integrated multi-corporate final assembly team for the ill-fated A-12 Attack Aircraft program. David's contributions included leading both McDonnell Douglas and General Dynamics Corporations in their first steps towards information technology deployment to the assembly line floor enabling Agile oriented manufacturing operations and support teams.
David next joined a start-up within GTE performing Project and Program management for Document Imaging Business Process Re-engineering solutions ranging from $300K to $3M. During his tenure with GTE Vantage Technologies, David was called upon to intercede with many troubled projects, and as given the informal title of “failing project rescue specialist” by his peers.
David next performed Product and Project Management for Telos Corporation, an ISO 9001 certified manufacturing company. David was responsible for the business and technical management of a variety of consumer kiosk and military portable workstation products. David was also responsible for managing the initiation of what is now Telos' successful Wireless networking product business unit.
David was a Senior Consultant and Vice President of NetBase Corporation Solutions Services until August 2011 where he was responsible for providing program management, business process management and consulting, and team leadership for multiple software development and system implementation and support projects for commercial and federal government clients.
David is currently the President and co-founder of Rofori Corporation, whose goal is to transform the way Teams and Organizations communicate using Rofori, a new methodology for managing unstructured work through effective communication.
