About the Presentation

With the success of agile, software development opportunities and challenges are occurring in project management. Some of the agile techniques such as rapid communication and work in progress methods can apply to multiple project management areas.

Please join us as PMIWDC's expert panel discusses using agile techniques in today’s project management environment to accelerate execution and improve communication in software development and program management. About the Speaker

Narayan Prasad, PMP, PMI-ACP

Narayan Prasad has more than 20 years of extensive experience spanning program management, product development, software and systems engineering, full life-cycle systems development, implementation, and integration. He has directed professional services organizations, program management offices, and managed teams worldwide. His thought leadership experience in knowledge management, IT management/operations, and human capital solutions spans both the public and private sectors. Mr. Prasad is a certified project management professional (PMP) and a project management agile certified practitioner (PMI-ACP).

Carl Blake, PMP, CSM

With over 12 years of experience leading projects in various sectors for clients and organizations in the Washington, DC area, Carl has utilized a variety of project management methodologies. He has applied various agile techniques, iterative methods, and incremental product development processes. In doing so, Carl has served as a mentor and subject matter expert to colleagues, senior management, and various project teams.

Carl currently serves as the Director of Business Process at the AAMC (Association of American Medical Colleges). In this role, Carl has specific responsibility for supporting strategic business initiatives, operations, and projects for the MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) team. Previously at the AAMC, Carl was a member of the IT Enterprise Architecture group and the in-house PMO (Project Management Organization) team.

Carl is a Certified PMP, CSM, and TOGAF-9. He holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland, an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering and a Master’s Certificate in Computational Science from Syracuse University, and an IT-focused MBA from George Washington University.  Carl has been active in the IT industry since 1998.
