This inspiring presentation will provide an introduction and background on virtual worlds, present the benefits, adoption, and challenges of virtual worlds and present use cases for private companies and Government Solutions/Products (especially Avaya’s web.alive solution)

About the Speaker

Mr. Robert Chen

Mr. Robert Chen is a Senior Director at Avaya Government Solutions with over 13 years of IT experience in commercial and federal markets.  Mr. Chen currently manages and oversees various portfolios within the federal civilian marketplace, focusing on operations and delivery for various IT solutions including but not limited to:  Software Development Lifecycle Tasks, Infrastructure, IT Consulting, Help Desk Support Services, Program Management, Communications, etc.  Mr. Chen also has expertise with Virtual World Technology and how it applies in the federal government.  Mr. Chen has led various efforts for the implementation of Avaya’s virtual world solution, web.alive, into the federal government and has been an advocate of its uses cases (training, collaboration, simulation, teleworking, etc.) through demonstrations, conferences and presentations.
