About the Program

Government Program Management Study Findings

In early 2010 the Project Management Institute (PMI) designed and executed a study of “successful” U.S. Federal Government programs to uncover thematic “success factors” and delve into the specific practices that support these factors. The ultimate goal of this effort was to share the insights and spread the use of best practices throughout the government. PMI worked with a team of subject matter expert volunteers to design and conduct a web-based survey which included in-depth interviews with program managers and senior-level program sponsors.

John Ready was part of the PMI-led survey team and as part of our lunchtime speaker series he'll share his experience and the key findings of the study.
