About the Program

The Threshold Generation

The term “The Threshold Generation” describes all of us who have had to move their retirement date up due to their net worth going down. Many of us are working past the time when we dreamed of retiring. The rules that our parents and grandparents played by are gone, like the old idea of staying at one organization for your entire career. Understanding the concept of Lifetime Employment vs. Lifetime Employability can be empowering because you are the president of your own company called “You Inc”. If you answer yes to any of the questions below then this workshop may be for you.

  • Are you stuck in your career?
  • Would you use the term “just OK” to describe your professional position?
  • Are you concerned about how you and your children will be affected by today’s economics?
  • Do you feel being an introvert vs. an extrovert can hold you back in your career?

The presentation will cover:

  • Why it is important to put the word passion into your career or retirement plans
  • The key to increased excitement, productivity and motivation is identifying your strengths
  • How self-awareness of whether you tend more toward introversion or extroversion can take you to the next level in your profession
