PMIWDC and the Educating Youth through Employment Program, 2009

PMIWDC this year supported SkillSource’s Educating Youth Through Employment (E.Y.E.) Program. The E.Y.E. Program is a non-profit project of the Skillsource Group, Inc. coordinated through the Fairfax County Department of Family Services that connects young people of ages 16-21 to professional internship opportunities and training to help prepare them to be leaders in the workforce of tomorrow.

The E.Y.E. program offers local youth more than just a summer job, but rather an exciting, professional opportunity with training that will allow them to explore a career path that matches their interest.

PMIWDC donated $1000 for this community program. On Aug 13th, Richard Marinucci, President-Elect of the PMIWDC chapter, received a special award at the annual E.Y.E. programs award ceremony at the Waterford Reception Hall, Fair Oaks, VA.
