PM Tools

A full house at a PM Tools workshop - Photography By Greg Bouchillon

PM Tools is PMIWDC's free workshop series that addresses the practical aspects of Project Management. PM Tools sessions are always free and open to the public, and no advance registration is required

Both the PM Tools session and the monthly dinner meeting are worth 1 Professional Development Unit (PDU) each to certified PMPs. Continued certification as a PMP requires the accumulation of these valuable credits and we are pleased to offer this opportunity to obtain both the important training and the educational credit associated with it.

Meet Your Volunteer - Samir Mazmudar

Samir Mazmudar

Motivated by a deep desire to inculcate a strong sense of community service in his two young sons Samir began his dynamic experience as a PMIWDC volunteer in 2007. In the interim he has settled in as the host of the monthly PM Tools sessions in his role as AVP, Networking Programs – PM Tools. A certified PMP since 2005 Samir currently serves as director of the PMO for the renown IT consulting services experts, Network Specialty Group, Inc. his employer since 2001.

Samir particularly enjoys the PMIWDC experience finding it especially rewarding in terms of providing a means to earn PDUs; and for facilitating self learning and getting connected with vast pool of project professionals.

When he is not busy ‘tweaking’ PMO processes at NSGI or hosting PM Tools or otherwise performing some feat or “daring do”, Samir really enjoys a bit of travelling, playing tennis with his sons and spending time with family and friends.
