Meet Your Volunteer - Carol Huber

Carol Huber

A committed public servant Carol has spent over twenty-three years in government service. Over her tenure as a steward of the public trust Carol served with both the Department of Defense (19 years) and with the Department of Transportation (4 years). She currently is serving with every American tax payer’s favorite agency, the Internal Revenue Service.

Carol’s interest in and affiliation with PMI began as it does for many folks through a good friend. She has been a PMI member since 2004 (Baltimore Chapter) and a member of PMIWDC since 2007. Carol’s interest in volunteering for the PMIWDC chapter grew out of her experience attending Monthly Downtown DC (M2D2) Meetings while working downtown. She rightly understood that creating recurring noon meetings at the IRS would bring together both government and contractor Project Managers and create a positive venue for developing interest in Project Management disciplines, earning PDU’s, and show-casing the tremendous talents of many serving IRS executives and other external speakers. Carl happily continues to serve PMIWDC as the founder and chair of IRS noon meetings.

When she’s not busy with agency work or PMI volunteerism Carol enjoys music, cross country skiing, and especially following and rooting for the UNC Tar Heels basketball program.
