yth Annual  PMIWDC Chapter Golf Tournament

The date for the 7th Annual PMIWDC golf outing is fast approaching.

Yes – this is our 7th year and the local organization is very proud of the success of this tournament over the years. Please register as soon as possible to ensure your slot on the tee box as the event fills up very quickly and we traditionally sell out. It is scheduled for Thursday, June 4th at the Westfield’s Golf Club in Centreville, VA.

The 18-hole course features 6,897 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The course rating is 73.1 and it has a slope rating of 136 on Bent grass. At Westfield’s, Fred Couples has built a course that is, at once, fun and accessible for the novice, while challenging and thought-provoking for the experienced golfer. There are enough elevation changes, water hazards, sand traps and other obstacles to keep you on your toes all around the course.

The tournament fee is $70 for members and $90 for non-PMI members. The fee includes a box lunch, range fees, cart fees, dinner and lots and lots of prizes. It’s a great opportunity to meet and network with your fellow PMI Members.

In addition, we are still soliciting sponsors for the event and are really pleased with the interest shown. There are sponsorships available and we encourage you to make the commitment and confirm your twosomes or foursomes!

We encourage and appreciate sponsorships from our other corporate supporters.

Register yourself or as a sponsor while there's still space.
See you on the tee box!

Benefits of Membership

Spring is in the air and now is the time to celebrate being a member of PMIWDC!

You might not realize it but you just missed a chance to meet and network with 35 new members of PMIWDC if you did not attend the March dinner in Tyson's Corner.

That's on top of the other 300 established members who were also present, and we all belong to the largest PMI Chapter in the US, with more than 8300 members!

If that's not enough incentive then how about these other benefits- PDU opportunities to maintain your credential by coming to dinner and the PM Tools session before each monthly dinner. That's 2 PDU's for just one night! You could also attend Toastmaster Groups, Golf Tournaments, Luncheon meetings or if you prefer, breakfast! We have our annual Career Day coming in October too.

These are just a few reasons to join and maintain membership with the WDC Chapter of PMI.

So, get ready to pull the spring clothes from the back of the closet and dust off your PMBOK Guide while you do it. Come out and join us on April 21st (and the third Tuesday of every month) and see what you've been missing!
