About the Program:
Leadership & Strategic Thinking for Managers
There is a saying that "leaders lead people and managers manage things." Good PMs must be able to do both, yet more emphasis is generally placed on management and program performance than on leadership and program outcome.
In this seminar/workshop we will discuss and work on your leadership skills such as improved communications, coaching, inspiration and vision versus motivation... and principles related to values and ethics. One of the key leadership skills that is often ignored is strategic thinking, sometimes also known as systems thinking. When dealing with highly complicated or complex systems and programs, the ability to see the big picture and the relationships between parts of the system is crucial for its success. We will introduce some easy to use techniques to enable you to see your operation as a system.
