Plan for Project Success by Tailoring Processes Early
The PMBOK cites Organizational Process Assets as inputs and/or outputs for the majority of project management processes, and they are critical to the efficient execution of processes for project success. Too often, though, tailoring the organization’s processes to the project’s needs is an afterthought.
This session will cover how to address gaps and inefficiencies
in the assets provided by the organization, and tailor them to the
unique needs of your project.
About the Speaker:
Ms. Elizabeth
McQueen, PMP
Elizabeth McQueen is the President of Process Evolution Group,
Inc., in Alexandria, VA. She has been managing process
improvement projects, developing business management / project
management processes, and delivering process and project management
training to professional audiences since 1994. Elizabeth’s successful
process improvement efforts include multiple successful Level 3 CMMI
assessments, as well as successful ISO 20000 and 9001 certification
audits for one of the top 10 government contractors.
In addition to managing process improvement projects, Elizabeth is an
instructor in the Project Management certificate program of the
Continuing Education and Professional Development arm of the Northern
Virginia Community College (NOVA) system, and teaches Level 1 Program
Management certification classes for the Department of Homeland
Security (DHS).
Elizabeth serves on the Board of Directors of the Washington, DC
chapter of Project Management Institute (PMIWDC), and is currently
leading an effort to develop and document the chapter’s business
processes.
