In this presentation Ricardo Vargas will talk about how to handle project management in troubled times, presenting very basic topics to implement a PMO with local resources and basic framework for methodology development, training and implementation.

About the Speakers

Ricardo Viana Vargas, MSc, IPMA-B, PMP

Project, portfolio and risk management specialist. He is author of 10 books in Portuguese and English. Consultant in projects, administering an investment portfolio of over 18 billion dollars worldwide. He was Chairman of the Board for the Project Management Institute (PMI), the largest project management association in the world.

Francisco Pulgar-Vidal

Francisco Pulgar-Vidal is the President of fkiQuality, a consultancy focused on helping companies raise operational performance levels.

Francisco is a process improvement professional with Lean Six Sigma certifications from the American Society for Quality and IBM Corporation. Francisco has a record of success deploying continuous improvement practices and changing work cultures. His consulting experience includes companies in many sectors such as consumer packaged foods, retail, energy, financial services and the government.

Almost 20 years of work have taken Francisco to companies in the Americas , Europe and Asia. He is fluent in English, Spanish and French. Francisco's education includes a Masters of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master of Business Administration. He teaches at the college and graduate level courses in business administration, industrial engineering and lean six sigma practices. Francisco also volunteers with several job networks helping professionals in job transition.
