About the Presentation

Risk Management: Back to The Basics

Project risk remains the "undiscovered country" for many projects, as project managers wrestle with what they don't know and what they're not sure they know. This one-day workshop with risk expert (and certified PMI-RMP) Carl Pritchard powers through the risk process with practical, hands-on applications to make your next project team risk-aware and to get them actively participating in the day-to-day of your risk management efforts.

Participants will learn how to leverage the insights of different project constituencies to explore new risks and how to create a risk practice that genuinely applies the challenging concept of knowledge transfer from one project to the next.

In hands-on effort, the workshop will include the full development and exploration of a case study project from identification through response development. The entire class will also develop the initial risk report for one participant's real-world project, including risk list and category development.
