Project Management: The Ultimate Calling?
(This Webinar is part of Joe Luttrell’s “Road Map to the Revolution” Lecture Series)
Is the challenging economy a curse or the clandestine setting for Project Managers to answer the call to modernize the militaristic and archaic management structures that still plague workers in the corporate world today? This talk will answer this question by revealing the cost to society and the economic cost to business of managers that rise to power via these outdated structures instead of by working to build their Project Management skills. The number one cause of anxiety in the work place can be tied directly back to managers who lack key leadership skills and instead rely on brute force tactics to get results from their employees. Or just as bad, they don’t accomplish much of anything and then they blame a subordinate when their schemes come crashing down.
The emotional stress on workers from this behavior results in a loss to the US economy of over $300 billion a year. Anxiety related illnesses are in fact the number one cause of worker disability leaves and absenteeism in the US. To test the veracity of these statements just recall working for a leader who has the skills needed to organize people to accomplish work. Now think of a time when the person you worked for woefully lacked these skills. This visualization may have triggered some post traumatic recollections. It is within this turbulent setting though that we start to realize that Project Management is indeed the calling to correct the social injustices caused by ill-prepared leaders.
Historically there has been a strong correlation between difficult economies and advancement in the acceptance of Project Management practices as companies are forced to work smarter to produce more with fewer resources. With this realization, there can be little doubt that the call has been sent. The time is now. But we have to focus on some key skills to be prepared to answer this call. Passing a test is not nearly enough.
Please join in this Webinar to learn the key Project Leadership skills that you should focus on to achieve societal fulfillment and financial security by learning how to hitch your job to its grander purpose. Your assent will be part of the modernization of these outdated management structures as you demonstrate the ability to create an emotionally healthy, high performance work environment for your team while at the same time reclaiming your organization’s part of that $300 billion.
Power of Visualization: A Secret Weapon of Great Leaders
The weapon of ‘visualization’ will allow leaders and managers to dream bigger and accomplish more for their stakeholders.. The leaders will learn the secret that - no matter how complex the role as a leader gets, if they clearly visualize it, they will successfully complete it! This webinar is based on the workshop which teaches the attendees, step-by-step, how to utilize this technique in order to get breakthrough results.
