About the Presentation

By using risk management to control your destiny, you will know where you will be next year and the year after. Ned tells us how to not make the same mistakes over and over. Why do so many projects fail? He discusses the impact of volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity on program success. 

About the Speaker

Ned Taylor has 33 years of experience in Security Program Development in the US Air Force, Commercial and Government sectors, including project oversight of systems development, construction and cooperative international efforts. Ned has worked in acquisition, deployment and operational transfer of Special Programs in the US Air Force. He worked as a biosecurity consultant to the US Army at the US Army Research Institute of Infectious Disease (USAMRIID) at Ft Detrick, MD. Ned also worked in the Cooperative Threat Reduction Program of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), addressing the Biological Threat within the Former Soviet Union, involving millions of dollars worth of projects, to ensure safe and secure laboratories within the former Soviet countries of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Russia, Azerbaijan and Ukraine. He worked in the Chemical Biological early Detection Programs of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), managing projects deploying biological agent detections systems across the US. Ned currently supports the Chemical Biological Technologies Directorate of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and manages several hundred research and development projects to protect against chemical and biological attack.
