About the Presentation

Project Risk Management Planning

The PMBOK Fourth Edition Chapter 11 “Project Risk Management” states project risk management includes the process of conducting project risk management planning, identification, analysis, response planning, and monitoring and control on a project.

The objectives are to increase the probability and impact of positive events, and to decrease the probability and impact of negative events in the project.
During this presentation, the risk management plan elements will be discussed, a project risk management overview will be presented, and the project risk management inputs, tools & techniques, and outputs will be reviewed.

An example of a risk breakdown structure will be imparted and the defined conditions for the impact scales of risk on the major project objectives: cost, time, scope, and quality will be discussed. Finally, a review of a project range of cost estimates matrix will be presented and some strategies for managing project risks and threats will be shared.
