About the Program

"Communication Management - It All Starts Here!"

One of the PMBOK knowledge areas is Communications Management and with good reason!  We'll discuss why Communications Management is critical for all the other PMBOK Project Management processes' to be successful.  We'll discuss the importance of communication planning and share some key steps in creating a successful communications plan.  No discussion on the value of communication would be complete without sharing real life DOs and DON'Ts.  We'll share some and we hope you come prepared to share some of your own.

About the Speaker

Michelle Scheuerman, PMP, has been employed by Electronic Data Systems (EDS) for 19 years.  Currently, Michelle is a Client Advocate for EDS, an HP Company's Department of Homeland Security Data Center initiative.  Most recently Michelle provided program communications support for the HSPD-12 account where she had responsibility for the support and operation of over 150 field locations and associated staff, help desk, break-fix support, training, and client relationships.

About Skyline Luncheons

  • All Skyline luncheons are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month. They begin at 12:00pm with a 10 minute unstructured networking session. At 12:10, after a short introduction and after we’ve dealt with some administrative matters, the presentation begins. From 1:00pm to 1:30pm continued unstructured networking time is available for interested parties.
  • Join our Yahoo Group by sending an email with your name, and organization to: SkylineLuncheonPMIWDC-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. On our list we provide copies of past presentations, directions to our lunch location in Baileys Crossroads, and two email reminders per month.
  • Our Yahoo Group SkylineLuncheonPMIWDC@yahoogroups.com is an announcement-only type list not used for general email. So you will only receive a limited amount of email and only from the Skyline Baileys Crossroads Lunch meeting moderator, Charles Hermann.
