About the Speaker

Harold "Hal" S. Hunt, PMP

As a program manager and consultant, Hal Hunt has a record of achievements in the United States and seven other countries where he lived and worked for 23 years. Applying a variety of methodologies, he successfully managed numerous information technology and related programs and projects involving mainframe, mid-range, client/server, and web-enabled architectures and networks. His experience includes earned value management systems (EVMS), integrated baseline reviews, system integration, requirements analyses and use cases, system architecture and design, computer programming, configuration management, quality assurance, implementation, documentation, and training. He has supported U.S. and foreign governments, military organizations, and commercial enterprises, while managing multinational technical personnel with minimal cross-cultural conflict in multi-cultural environments. Hal was a significant contributor to the first edition of the Organizational Project Management Maturity Model Knowledge Foundation and was the Team Lead for Chapter 3 "Program Management Processes" of the first edition of The Standard for Program Management. He currently specializes in schedule development and management, independent verification and validation (IV&V) of projects, and integrated baseline review (IBR) support.
