About the Program

Beyond the Charter – Executive Core Qualifications

The presentation will focus on the People Side of successful projects based on the Executive Core Qualification (ECQ) criteria. Skills needed to build successful teams will be defined. The ECQ criteria include Building Coalitions, Leading Change and Leading People. Through audience participation and examples both good and bad, the participants will gain a better understanding of how Project Management and Executive Core Qualification go hand in hand. 

About the Speaker

Gustavo Limon holds an MS in applied computer science for neural networks and genetic algorithms and a BS in computer science from the University of Maryland, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute, and earned a Certificate of Completion from the USDA Graduate School’s Executive Potential Program. He worked in many capacities during his 11 years of Public Service such as Sr. IT Project Manager for System’s Integration, PM for document/records management, and advanced information management, including: emerging technologies, data architecture, data center management, technology infusion, and deployment of enterprise solutions.

Mr. Limon is currently employed by the National Weather Service as the Chief Technology Officer within the Office of the Chief Information Officer.
