Creating & Managing Virtual Teams
In today’s business environment, you can’t escape working virtually. Talented knowledge workers are geographically dispersed — resources are limited and budgets are tight. A project manager may be called on to manage these resources and to coordinate their project/program work. So what is one to do? Let’s take a walk on the ‘virtual’ side! Learn how to work with these resources and to develop and implement standards and guidelines to make virtual teams function as well as or better than co-located teams. During this presentation you will learn:
- How to identifying key characteristics of effective Virtual team members
- Insights into the dynamics and interactions of virtual team members
- How to coordinate co-located teams and virtual resources
- Things to avoid when working with dispersed team members
- Lessons learned from virtual team engagements
