About the Program

Over the years there has been considerable improvements made to ensure IT projects are defined, managed and delivered successfully. However a recent report states that 3 out of every 10 IT projects that span over one year fail. In addition, to make matters worse, of the remaining 7 projects that did not “fail” business owners claim 30% did not meet their needs. To put it in perspective, 42% of the overall projects undertaken did not meet the needs of the business.

As with any activity scientific or practical, industrial or commercial Project Management when done well, helps move the needle in the right direction. There are a number of obstacles to overcome, but we as project managers are leading a transformation to realize the goal of improving the success rate of IT projects. The goal of this presentation is to provide a snap shot of the current landscape in project management and to discuss the future trends that will allow for more projects to be delivered successfully.
